This O’Hare project entailed performing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment of a 100-acre parcel for the proposed Terminal 6 at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Preliminary work performed by INTERRA involved the development of Project Protocols for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Phase I work involved review of available government records, aerial photographs, topographic maps, interviews with local government officials and owners of existing buildings. Phase II work involved drilling over 100 soil borings, analytical testing, identification and delineation of contaminated areas, estimation of contaminant quantities, and recommendations for site remediation.
