INTERRA was selected by Alfred Benesch to work on these projects for Illinois Tollway. Project I-15-4235 included drainage improvements, construction improvements, mainline pavement, roadway reconstruction, bridge reconstruction, widening, earth excavation, grading, and utility relocation and protection. The I-14-4188 project involved I-90, Roadway, Retaining Wall and Bridge Reconstruction and Widening, IL 53 to Arlington Heights Road and Construction Management Services. Illinois Tollway project I-14-4208 included design and construction of retaining wall outside the I-90 mainline pavement, roadway and bridge reconstruction and widening, earth excavation, and grading. For these three projects, INTERRA performed Quality Assurance material testing and inspection on concrete, soil, and asphalt in the field and at the plant. For asphalt Quality Assurance testing included warm mix asphalt (WMA). Quality Assurance services were also provided for grout and binder. For concrete, INTERRA tested and inspected barrier walls, cylinder strength, wall footings, slabs, drill shaft, and completed resistivity testing and inspection services. INTERRA conducted soil compaction testing for the wall and trench backfill. INTERRA attended pre-pour meetings for the bridge deck. Reporting for the project was also completed.
