This Public Building Commission project consisted of the development of a new salt dome that stores 60,000 tons of salt. Other work includes a new parking lot for staff, a new driveway, a stormwater detention tank in addition to other site improvements. INTERRA provided compaction testing on the soil to verify the stability and strength of the soil. Rebar inspection was also completed. For asphalt INTERRA verified the density and monitored the rolling patterns. For concrete INTERRA oversaw various pours and tested the air content, slump, temperature, and cast cylinder specimens. The cylinder specimens were then transported to the INTERRA laboratory.
